Home sweet home

Salam and good day!

Alhamdulillah, I've finally settled in my new house. After all the sweat and pain of moving, now I can finally rest comfortably. There's still a lot more to add to make this place a little more homey, but all that can wait. I have 4 years to do that. haha...

Well, here's a little sneak peak of my house.

My sis said this corridor reminded her of the conjuring. Whaaatt!!!??

One of the bedrooms. Both are almost similar. The master is slightly larger and have different cupboards.

The toilet is the most important feature when I search for a house. This place passed my stringent and particular needs. hehe..=D

It was quite a struggle to find this place. I've gotten my eyes on another property before which is cheaper, nearer and a lot better in terms of value for money. However, I didn't get a chance to rent it because someone else beat me to it.

However, this place is the best next thing. I found it through the internet. I just searched for a property for let in the area that I'm interested in. When I found the one that I want, just enquire for a viewing or immediately ask for information and book the place. It can either be through an agency or directly with the landlord. It is always better to view the property first. Then you can really see whether it is to your interest or not. Pictures can't really portray everything. But so far in London, what you see is what you get.

The location is great too. Nearby a bus station to school, shepherds bush, hammersmith. If from Heathrow, I only need to take one train and a bus to come here which was super convenient for my family later.

The place is nearby Tesco as well, so it'll be easy to buy supplies. To find halal food requires a bit of walking, but still considerably close.

Plus the house is equipped with security measures.

Other than these 3 locks and chain, the house is also alarmed. InsyaAllah secured!

The best part of the house that I love is this.

It'll be awesome during spring and summer. huhu...I have all kinds of plans in my head for the future.

I'm also having the 2nd bedroom open to anyone looking for a short stay in London. If you have anyone interested, just email me at sitiaminah.muhammadimran@gmail.com. The rate will be affordable, don't worry. *wink*

But if you came as my guest, of course your stay will be free of charge!! =D

Until next time..

MSc Cert Arrived!

Salam and good day peeps!!

Despite all the drama that's been going on, I received a wonderful surprise.

DHL came to my house to deliver what seemed to be just a piece of paper, but valuable to the beholder.

My MSc certificate have arrived!!! Alhamdulillah...praise be to Allah. I can't tell how grateful I am to HIM. All the hardships and struggle faced to accomplish this. I am forever grateful.

This accomplishement is for my mother, father, sister, other family members, friends that had always prayed for my success. And to the people that helped me a lot during my MSc course, Dr. Mark and Dr. Dafni. Without whom, I wouldn't be able to achieve this. Last but not least, my comrade in arms, Zahirrah Begum. She was my classmate/roommate during BSc, then classmate in MSc, later on labmate/housemate during PhD. We both have been through a lot. It just made us closer. Let us be successful for the sake of the ummah.

Atok Rindu cucu atok~~

Salam and good day everyone!!

The other day during my cousin's wedding, my dearest atok came with my grand-uncle. We were talking, and when I told him I'll be leaving soon for my PhD, his eyes got all teary. I promised him that we will see each other before I left, so here we are.

My mum suggested we went out for dinner the day after the wedding because after that would be difficult due to my parents working and all.

We went to a place my mum found at Seksyen 7 called Polperro Steakhouse. The reviews we found were mostly good ones. Even Jalan-jalan cari makan TV3 had been here before too.

I ordered the chicken chop combo and a big glass of mango juice. The drink was great because it's only for RM5 for that size. But the dish is not really to my liking. Seafood and chicken just don't match for me. So I didn't really enjoy it. Plus the chicken's outer part doesn't taste very good.

Other people ordered Lamb chop which comes with grilled vege, mash potato and baked beans. The mash was soft and creamy, just the way I like it. The parts of the lamb however is not that much if you're starving. There's just many bones and fatty parts.

The best thing is, I get a chance to spend a little bit of time with my one and only grandfather.

Love you Atok! I'll try to skype with you as often as I could after this. =D

Until next time...http://eemoticons.net
